Omaha Poker is also a variation of poker game using community cards concept. The two variations of Omaha poker are: Omaha 8 and Omaha Hi-Lo.

The Omaha Poker starts with the dealer dealing 4 hole cards to each player. The first round of betting starts.  After this, the dealer deals the flop i.e. three cards in the middle of the table. Then, the second round of betting starts followed by the dealer dealing the turn i.e. fourth community card. Another betting round, then the river is drawn.  The river is the fifth community card. The final betting round starts and the showdown follows. The player who holds the best poker hand on the table wins the game.

The hole cards:
In Omaha Poker, you will have four hole cards but you will only use two of them and combine them with 3 from the community cards. Whereas, in Texas Hold'em, you have the option to use either both your hole cards, only one of your hole cards or all the community cards. 

Some recommended playable hole cards in Omaha:

A-A-K-K double-suited - the strongest hole card.

A-A-J-T double-suited - another strong playable hole card in Omaha.

A-A-Q-Q double-suited, A-A-J-J double-suited, A-A-T-T double-suited, A-A-9-9 double suited, J-T-9-8 double-suited, K-K-Q-Q, K-K-J-J, K-Q-J-T, K-K-T-T, K-K-A-Q, K-K-Q-J, K-K-Q-J, K-K-Q-T, K-K-J-T, Q-Q-J-J, Q-Q-T-T, Q-Q-A-K, Q-Q-A-J, Q-Q-A-T, Q-Q-K-J, Q-Q-K-T, Q-Q-J-T, Q-Q-J-9

Omaha Poker Tips:

Tip 1: Slow and steady is the wrong way to go. In Omaha poker, the more aggressive you are in the manner you play, the higher the chances for you to win the hand.

Tip 2: One of the most effective strategies in playing Omaha poker is to use betting to bluff the opponent because all players have more cards in their hand that they may use to combine with the community cards.

Tip 3: In Texas Hold'em, your seat often determines whether you win or lose the game. But in Omaha, no matter where you are, you can get yourself going to win.
